Hello to all our dancers, both new and old!
Welcome to our new dancers and welcome back to our loyal members to UCanDance for 2024! Previous members please remember to resign up for 2024 to get your free class and access to the membership deals. You can find our signup sheet on our Facebook, on our brand new website, or simply by clicking here.
We hope you’ve all enjoyed your summer break and are ready to get into some dancing. Classes will be slightly different this year with two classes running every week in two different locations instead of just one class per week! Prices are remaining the same with $3 per class for students and $5 per class for non-students. There will be Five Class Passes ($12) and Membership Concession Cards available at the door. Remember to bring your student ID and a drink bottle, mints and deodorant will be provided. Read below for specific class details.
Tuesday Classes
Tonight is our first class of the year and will comprise of Ballroom and Modern Jive. Class begins at 7:00pm but doors will open at 6:45pm so make sure to get there early to have enough time to get signed in and set up. Tuesday classes will be held at Waimairi Community Centre. There is limited parking at the venue but there should be plenty of on-street parking.
Thursday Classes
Thursday classes will comprise of Tango and Modern Jive and will be held at Westburn School Hall. Thursday classes begin at 7:30pm and doors will open at 7:15pm. There will be on-street parking.
Summer Walk
Our first social event of the year is the Summer Walk! It is being held on March 3rd at 10:30am. We will be doing a super chill hour-long walk up the Harry Ell track to the Sign of the Kiwi.
